Government Analyst II - Cost Allocation Specialist
This is a professional position within the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Revenue Management's, Grant Finance Team. The Government Analyst II Cost Allocation Specialist is responsible for the development, documentation, and maintenance of the Department's Public Assistance Cost Allocation Plan (PACAP) and Indirect Cost Allocation Plan (ICAP). This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, supporting budget development, and providing audit support.
The incumbent collaborates with internal stakeholders to promote best practices in cost allocation and provides training and technical guidance to enhance agency-wide understanding and consistency. The Department is looking for a flexible person open to tackling ever-changing challenges and learning a multitude of new skills. The incumbent will gather and analyze data, collaborate with program staff and DCF leadership to determine the best methods for identifying, prioritizing, and analyzing grant and financial effectiveness. The incumbent must work collaboratively with other program areas and DCF staff and will be responsible for independent work products to support administrative, fiscal, and operational aspects of several grants. The selected candidate will be expected to function independently to perform complex tasks.
