Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian responsible for providing exceptional medical nutrition therapy to patients and clients. Key responsibilities include assessing nutritional needs, delivering personalized medical nutrition therapy, and providing nutrition education. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, serving as a valuable resource to the physician staff and contributing to community nutrition education initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or a related field.
Licenses / Certifications :
- Registered with the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
- CPR Certification (Heart Saver only) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or to be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
Completion of a qualified professional experience preparing for the registered dietitian exam.Ability to engage positively with diverse individuals.Strong oral and written communication skills.Commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process, exemplifying our culture in all customer interactions; delivering on our brand promise of advancing health through innovation, accountability, empowerment, collaboration, compassion, and results.Principal Accountabilities
Collaborates effectively with the multidisciplinary treatment team.Establishes nutrition care goals for patients, conducts assessments, and develops individualized care plans with ongoing evaluation of nutrition status.Provides tailored medical nutrition therapy suitable for each patient's age.Modifies nutrition regimens based on food preferences, tolerances, and cultural / religious considerations.Documents nutrition care plans in the medical record, including assessments, monitoring parameters, goals, and recommendations.Delivers age-appropriate nutrition education to patients and families, respecting their beliefs and backgrounds.Ensures safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and standards, including budgetary specifications.Promotes professional growth by meeting mandatory / continuing education requirements, supporting department goals, and serving as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff.Other duties as assigned.
