Safety Engineer II

With offices in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio, Pepper Construction is a national general contracting and construction management firm that primarily serves the private sector. Ensure a safe and healthy environment on assigned project. The Site Safety Specialist is expected to work with people in all levels of Project Management and Field Supervision to establish operational priorities and coordinate efforts that focus on hazard and risk identification, avoidance and elimination. Prevention of incidents, accidents, injuries or losses is the primary responsibility of the Site Safety Specialist.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

• New worker safety orientation

Perform all orientations for all new workers on site

Assist our Pepper teams as well as our trade partner teams with conducting impactful THA's

Site specific safety plans

REQUIREMENTS :

Degreed safety professional with at least 5 years of safety related tasks in the construction industry

The target salary for this position is $92,000. We consider many factors when determining actual hiring salary. These factors may include location, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, internal equity, and market demands.
