Registered Nurse - Cardiology

Job Description\n\nOutpatient Registered Nurse for Cardiology in our subspecialty department for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy / Sarcoid / Cardio-Oncology specific physicians and patients. Providing professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.\n

• Part time schedule of 10-hour shifts, alternating 2 and 3 days per week, M-F.\n
• Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care.\n
• Schedules emergent need patient appointments, identifies learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations, inserts intravenous access with medication administration and duties as assigned based on clinic need.\n
• Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.\n
• Subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.\n
• Enters admission orders as directed by provider.\n
• Responsible for managing expired samples.\n
• Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.\n
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.\n
