Job Details :

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our award winning, orthopedics focused surgery center. The successful candidate will be a critical part of the surgical team, providing exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of our patients, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

1. Prepare operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely.

2. Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning patients on the operating table and covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposure.

3. Pass instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants during surgery.

4. Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.

5. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room at all times.

6. Assist in the preparation, care for, and disposal of specimens taken for laboratory analysis.

7. Assist in the cleaning and restocking of the operating room, providing a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications :

1. Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) program.

2. Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

3. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

4. Outstanding knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety.
