Job description

The Learning Systems & Design Specialist plays a dual role in shaping the Associate experience at Dierbergs : serving as the administrator and subject matter expert for our Learning Management System (Axonify) while also partnering with a portfolio of departments to design, develop and deliver impactful learning programs.This role establishes and upholds system standards, optimizes the learner experience, and ensures content is accurate, well-organized, and deployed in the most learner-friendly way. At the same time, they collaborate with stakeholders and Associates across assigned departments to create engaging, practical and results-driven training experiences. By blending technical expertise in learning systems with creativity in instructional design, this role helps advance our company purpose of Grow Every Day.Key responsibilities : LMS Leadership & Optimization : Serve as the administrator and subject matter expert for Axonify, ensuring we are leveraging the system to its fullest potentialManage the configuration, organization, accessibility and accuracy of all training content, resources and learning librariesPartner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate deployment of learning content in the most user-friendly mannerEstablish standards and best practices for LMS content management, including naming conventions, structure, formatting, accessibility, version control, auditing and archiving etc.Monitor LMS analytics and reporting to assess engagement, compliance, and training effectiveness and provide actionable insights to stakeholdersIdentify and implement opportunities to enhance the learner experience within the LMS through structure, navigation and system featuresProvide front line support for users (password resets, access issues, troubleshooting) and escalating technical problems when neededDepartment Portfolio & Learning Design : Oversee a small portfolio of departments by partnering with subject matter experts, stakeholders and corporate and store Associates to assess training needs and align learning solutions with department goals and objectivesManage projects through the design life cycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development and launch, providing clear timelines through all phases of development and selecting appropriate measurement for implementationDesign and develop onboarding and ongoing training programs for Associates incorporating self-paced, on-the-job, and classroom trainingBuild and manage a range of instructional materials (e-Learning, job aides, tutorials, storyboards, audio and video materials, knowledge checks etc.)Ensure every learning experience is aligned with best practices in adult learning theory, and that experiences are relevant, practical and learner-centeredCreate engaging and effective learning solutions for in-person and virtual delivery using platforms such as Vyond, Articulate 360, Canva, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft SuiteFacilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions, as well as coach facilitators on best practices to ensure high levels of participant engagement and retentionImplement methods to measure the effectiveness of learning programs (e.g., surveys, assessments, and performance data) and use insights to continuously improve learning materials and delivery methodsAbout You : Bachelor's degree in Education , Instructional Design, Human Resources, Psychology or a related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, LMS administration or a related field.Hands-on experience with LMS administration, including managing users, organizing content, generating reports and optimizing learner experience (experience with Axonify is a plus)Proficiency in eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quicklyExperience in facilitating trainings (virtually / in-person)Has a knack for project management, is able to move projects forward despite ambiguity, and can effectively prioritize activities with little direction and in a fast-paced organizationStrong attention to detail and ability to establish and uphold system standards with precision and consistencyProven ability to measure training programs through evaluations and appropriate dataEmbodies a growth-mindset and has ability to be flexible and resilient in an ever-changing and dynamic environmentStrong instructional design skills, including creating interactive, learner-centered content.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.Why Dierbergs is right for youHealth and retirement benefitsincluding medical, dental, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k) with company match, FSA, and life insuranceWeekly payPaid time offprovided, including sick daysEmployee Assistance Programfor you and your family to assist in many of life's challenges, from short-term counseling, legal questions to financial guidanceAssociate-only savings, free products, bonus points, sweepstakesand more - being a part of our team has its perks withDierbergs RewardsWellness initiatives and volunteer opportunitiesto keep you healthy, engaged and involvedRewards, recognition and appreciationprograms and events to spotlight you AND your exceptional talentsOpportunity to Grow Every Dayby building knowledge, supporting growth and creating connections - Let's GROW!This job description is representative only and is not all inclusive of the responsibilities that the Associate may be required to perform.
