Why We're Hiring
The Complex Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively. Their duties include creating and executing business events, training sales staff and brand ambassadors and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
They will work closely with Marketing, the Complex events team, and the relevant internal stakeholders (Brand, Merchandising, Partnerships, Music, etc) to build a strategy for success across all IRL events at their store location. They will ensure that the store team is executing on these strategies and are meeting key performance indicators. They will also lead and implement the in-store sales strategy and training, scheduling of their team of sales staff in coordination with the programming calendar.
What You'll Do
- Serve as key point-of-contact for the retail location for internal Complex stakeholders as well as external vendors, partners and local community
- Collaborate with internal Complex stakeholders and their external partners to create, implement and deliver high velocity, successful retail events and deliver on each events specific strategic objectives
- Create staffing and security quotes for each event to share with event partners for approval; ensure invoices are sent out post-event for repayment from event partner
- Collaborate with your lead and peers to establish and evolve measurable performance standards and hold yourself and your people accountable to meeting those standards consistently
- Respond to customer or partners issues and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure store compliance with local health and safety regulations
- Ensure Complex acquires necessary permits for each event to ensure city compliance
- Develop and arrange promotional material, build outs, cleaning, and in-store displays for all events
- Communicate with external production partners to create buildout timelines and deadlines
- Oversee and coordinate inventory delivery, counts, sales and returns on an event by event basis, collaborating with external merchandising partners as necessary
- Prepare detailed event recap reports for each event including successes, customer expectations, sales information, areas to improve moving forward, etc.
- Undertake and delegate administrative duties to retail team
- Work with Complex Marketing and operations to establish reporting that showcases the success of your function and the value of the store
- Identify the highest potential within your people and empower them to grow
- Effectively communicate the vision, purpose, and objectives of Complexs storefront to the retail team and any hired 3rd-party vendors
- Hire, train, and lead effective team members, including brand ambassadors, to deliver an exceptional experience for the community and to ensure that all events are staffed and organized appropriately.
- Deliver necessary reports (i.e. Luminate) as requested on time
- Manage store maintenance and ordering supplies for the bathroom, staff kitchen, etc.
