Production Manager

Manages the daily operations of the production floor. Establishes and maintains the shop's safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals and objectives. Manages and motivates their staff to ensure continuous productivity improvements in cost, production, and product quality. Coordinates the development of subordinates and new ideas for improvement. Ensures the assigned department meets established safety, quality, cost, and time KPIs.

Job Knowledge and Skill : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and analyze reports. Detail-oriented with project planning experience. Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a highly automated or automotive manufacturing environment. Preferred : 3 years of Nissan manufacturing or 1 year in a leadership role.
Supervisory / Leadership Experience : Experience in a work leader role coordinating the work of other employees or contractors. This includes training new employees, assigning work, and checking the timeliness and quality of work. May need to provide input for performance reviews. May require weekend planning for rework activities.
Education : A High School Diploma is required, and or a related degree from an accredited four-year college is preferred.
Computer Skills : Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer applications to output reports with similar non-creative formats.

Travel : Occasional day and overnight travel, including international travel.
