Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Yuma, AZ 85364 (Arizona nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Med / Surg Tele (2 West)

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : January 5, 2026 – End : April 6, 2026)

Shift : 12-hour days (6 : 45am – 7 : 15pm)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement : Typically 2 out of 3 holidays

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in Med / Surg Tele specialty

Recent experience in a Trauma Level I or II hospital

Proficiency with Epic EMR system

Ability to float to MedSurg, stable low acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU as needed

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including pneumonia, COPD, acute kidney injury, and post-surgical cases

Maintain nurse-patient ratios of 1 : 5-6 during days and 1 : 6 at night

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, PCAs, and monitor techs

Utilize respiratory therapy equipment such as Bipap and care for stable trach patients

Accurately document care and assessments using Epic EMR

Participate in unit orientation and ongoing nursing education

Follow unit policies, including low census on-call and floating requirements
