American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of recent hospital-based experience, ARRT (CT) certification, and BLS, for a Level 2 Trauma facility.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based ER, inpatient, and outpatient CT departmentLevel 2 Trauma center settingOperate GE and Phillips CT equipmentAfternoon shifts from 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shiftsRotating coverage every other weekend and potential to work holidaysMay be required to float to a nearby sister hospitalNo blocked scheduling allowedPrimary responsibilities include performing CT exams, administering IV contrast using power injectors, and assisting radiologists with complex proceduresExpected to maintain high standards in customer service and teamworkMust consistently follow radiation safety practices and participate in maintaining protocolsRequired to document all studies and ensure images are properly uploaded and indexed in PACS and Radiology Information SystemResponsible for preparing rooms, monitoring supply levels, and setting up for proceduresMust be flexible, self-directed, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learningMay occasionally work in a mobile or fixed hospital unit and must be able to lift and move patients or equipment over 10 lbsRTO must be requested prior to assignment; requests after assignment starts require manager approval\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years of recent CT experience in a hospital setting requiredActive ARRT (CT) certification requiredCurrent BLS certification through the American Heart Association requiredActive Michigan license required if applicableHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperience with GE and Phillips CT scanners mandatoryMust complete online modules and pass, typically completed onsite prior to start dateCOVID-19 vaccination is required\n Benefits\n
