Product Deployment Supervisor
Flock Safety is looking for a Product Deployment Supervisor to join our Product Deployment team. The Product Deployment team is composed of individuals who are results-driven, detail-oriented and combine a great work ethic with critical thinking to install products that delight our customers and drive our shift to be a multi-product company. A day in the life of this role might involve traveling to install pilot devices for a new product, providing feedback on new engineering hardware concepts, and working with the Device team to solve issues in the field.
The ideal candidate has experience leading and growing a team of technicians in the field with a familiarity with product operations and has demonstrated excellent leadership skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Product Deployment Supervisor should be action-oriented with strong field work and problem-solving skills.
Own product transition process from Engineering development to scaled operations.
Be a coach and provide performance management to further the development of direct reports.
Provide support to direct reports in the field and own the outcomes
Provide and solicit feedback from Engineering and Field Service Managers on product development processes and field rollout
Identify issues with new products that could impact Operations and present potential solutions to cross-functional stakeholders
Have a business mindset when managing team capacity and labor, including time cards and expense management.
Monitor and document the status of work in the field and in the lab
Proficiency with assembly, mounting, and troubleshooting of license-plate reading cameras, video cameras, audio devices, and DFR systems
Field Service skills including :
Work on both public and private roads, working often on equipment 10-12' high and on roofs.
Occasionally work with a bucket truck and / or ladder to work on equipment up to 30' high
Provide installation pictures via Flock field app
Perform work in a safe and professional manner
Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys
Communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers
Project coordination between end users and deployment teams
May require installing poles of varying lengths per install specifications with digging a minimum of 8" x 24" holes
2+ years of experience leading and developing a team of field technicians
Prior experience with field work required in construction, security systems, low voltage wiring, or similar; Experience in product development preferred
Previous experience with Drone hardware and operations; FAA Part 107 certificate a plus
Outstanding project management and communication (written, verbal) skills
Experience with IP camera troubleshooting and debugging Android-based devices
Handyman-like experience whether personally or professionally
This role requires you to be 21+ in order to rent a vehicle from preferred providers.
Desire to work outdoors and comfortable working in all weather conditions
General affinity for all things tech. The kind of person that can log in to their router if necessary and effectively troubleshoot technical issues
Willingness to go outside your comfort zone when the situation requires it
Work hours are M-F with occasional extended hours in order to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
Expect to be on the road up to 75% of the time performing activities (e.g. installation, maintenance, testing) across the US.

Occasionally working in seasonal high and low temperatures.

Occasionally working in hazardous conditions : near highways or heavy traffic.

You've built strong, cross-functional relationships and confidence with peers across Operations who depend on you for mission-critical support on new and existing products.
You are recognized for being a leading voice on our product installations around mounting and troubleshooting.
You have built a regular cadence with direct reports.
You have successfully progressed product transition processes.
In this role, you'll receive a starting salary between $75,000 and $90,000, plus overtime, as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education / training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
