Overview : Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a busy pediatric emergency department serving a vibrant Southeastern U.S. region. This full-time night shift role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.
- Provide direct patient care and respond promptly to patient needs or report concerns to nursing staff.
- Support the implementation of nursing care plans by performing delegated tasks.
- Maintain patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Manage and restock supplies to ensure a clean, well-organized patient environment.
- Participate in cost containment efforts and assist with accurate patient service charging.
- Engage in ongoing educational and performance improvement activities.
- Perform additional skills such as phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, and waived lab testing as trained and competent.
Education and Certifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Certified Nursing Assistant credential required.Current registration as Nursing Assistant II with the state nursing board and Nursing Assistant I with the Division of Facility Services.Experience and Skills :
Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant I preferred.Strong guest relations and communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to read and understand English.Flexible and adaptable to varying work tasks and schedules.Basic knowledge of age-specific patient care considerations.Familiarity with basic computer skills.Physical and Work Environment :
