Summary : Provide essential patient care in a pediatric emergency setting, assisting with admissions, patient orientation, and supporting nursing care plans. Maintain a clean, well-stocked environment and ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
Major Responsibilities :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Nursing Assistant certification mandatory. Current registration with the state nursing assistant registry required.
Experience : No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
Skills and Abilities : Excellent communication and guest relations skills. Ability to read and write English. Flexibility in work tasks and schedules. Basic computer proficiency. Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.
Physical Requirements : Ability to work variable shifts with frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient turning. Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation. Exposure to blood and bodily fluids possible.
Licenses and Certifications : BLS certification from the American Heart Association and current Nursing Assistant certification required.
