GENERAL SUMMARY
The Application Specialist supports the District's recruitment and hiring processes by managing all aspects of applicant tracking within the Human Resources information systems. The position creates and maintains job postings, processes applications, supports hiring activities, and ensures accuracy and compliance across all stages of the hiring process. The position provides guidance to hiring managers and ensures all recruitment activities align with District policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable employment laws.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment. One year of experience involving maintenance of computerized records system and general office procedures. Personnel experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively. Skill in data processing operations, keyboarding and accurate data entry skills. Knowledge of database operations. Ability to learn all Human Resources systems. Ability to generate custom reports. Skill in basic computer problem solving. Knowledge of a variety of software applications. Skill in customer service. Ability to coordinate activities based on needs to produce results. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Skill in providing technical advice and instructions to non-technical staff. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.
Licenses / Special Requirements
Requires fingerprinting and background check to determine that there have been no convictions involving physical molestation, abuse, injury or neglect of a minor. Must complete training in and adhere to district infection control plan. Valid Washington state driver's license to travel for in and out of district travel.
