SIOP And Production Planning Manager
Lead and execute organization's Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Process. Work cross-functionally to align Financial and Operations forecasts. Design and oversee execution of operations planning process to enable efficient delivery of products on time to meet customer demand and support strategic goals.
Responsibilities of the SIOP and Production Planning Manager include :
- Facilitate the building of and analyze demand forecasts from Sales.
- Review historical sales, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast information, and evaluate forecast accuracy.
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions, including new products, adding / losing customers, or changes in product demand
- Provide input to the Purchasing team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
- Interact with Purchasing to provide visibility and accuracy reflection of availability, supply constraints, as well as plans to mitigate shortages / excess-stock.
- Monitoring and coordinating open sales orders and working with the production planning team to manage back orders, material availability and future requirements
- Monthly upload and maintenance of forecast in ERP system.
- Schedule and run monthly SI&OP meetings to review forecast and plan with sales, planning and purchasing teams.
- Oversee production planning and management activities within the organization.
- Develop production plan, budget and timelines according to production specifications and based on plant capacity and production specifications.
- Identify production and supply issues and lead organization to address them and adjust schedules and actions to meet deadlines.
- Participate in daily production meetings and drive conversation to ensure the team is taking necessary actions to stay on track with production schedules.
- Evaluate current production processes and recommend actions to reduce excess inventory and improve service levels.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage production scheduler as a direct report.Promote collaborative teamwork across multiple functional groups.Drive continuous improvement and standardization.Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent in a related field; or four to six years related experience and / or training.At least 3 years of experience running business' SIOP process required.Minimum five years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment required.Proven ability to work with multiple functional groups, develop and deploy planning systems.Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required.Travel / Physical Demands :
0%-5% travelOffice environment- long periods of sitting, telephone and computer work, with some work collaborating with others on the production floor.Compensation and Benefits :

Pay Range :
92,000.00 - 138,000.00
