Job Description
Codes a limited amount of patient type records to create the hospital’s case mix index database and health statistical indices .
Audits codes, and abstracts diagnostic and procedural information and assigns optimal diagnostic related group (MS-DRG or APC
Has 1+ year Professional Coding, Facility Coding, or has experience in both segments - Required - See below for breakdown of required experience in each segment
- Will take Temp or Temp to Perm applicants. It would be beneficial to note.
- Candidates applying with Facility coding MUST have Same Day Surgery and Observation experience - Required
- Candidates applying with Professional coding MUST have Hospital, Medicine, or ED experience - Required
- Applicable Licensure such as AHIMA, RHIT, CCS, RHIA -
- Bachelor’s Degree - Required unless applicant has more than 6+ years of applicable experience.
- Applicants must have their own equipment with superior Internet speed capabilities.
