ResponsibilitiesCoastal Harbor Health System offers compassionate care when you or your loved ones need it most. Our experienced team of doctors, nurses and therapists are specialists in behavioral care and deeply understand the difficult challenges you or your loved one face. Our two facilities, Coastal Behavioral Health and Coastal Harbor Treatment Center, are conveniently located in Savannah, Georgia, but we accept patients from many states across the country.
This position is for a full-time, Dietary Aide position for our mental health and substance abuse treatment facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Demonstrate knowledge of proper food preparation including receiving, storing, handling, and following recipes.
Prepare and serve food in quantities according to menu, number of people to be served, and portion control.
Demonstrate knowledge and assure maintenance of modified diets as instructed.
Use accepted techniques in handling, preparation, and serving food to clients and employees.
Receive, inspect, and properly store all supplies entering Food Service Department.
Monitor all kitchen equipment and appliances for malfunctions and proper temperatures. Report same to management.
Demonstrate proper use and storage of equipment and maintain a clean environment, including utensils, floors, equipment, etc.
Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures, including the use of Standard Precautions, proper storage and use of chemicals, and properly securing the Food Service area. Also demonstrate knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets.
Complete all requested forms pertaining to Food Service area.
Provide positive, professional role modeling and maintains appropriate boundaries with clients at all times.
