HR Education Specialist II (Technology Trainer)
This position allows a hybrid remote work option. Onsite requirements are determined based on training and support needs and may require up to full time onsite presence at times. This position supports training for Carilion's electronic medical record, EPIC, and other technologies used in the organization. Must be able to train multiple days per week and assist with material preparations / scheduling / field support and other training tasks as needed. Opportunity for motivated individual with background in training and / or technology. Prefer 3-5 years of previous training experience; candidate must demonstrate strong platform skills and be comfortable presenting to varied audiences. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Writing sample and training demonstration required. Must have the ability to understand details of workflows / software and have the ability to design and deliver instructional materials / training in a way that promotes learning and engagement. Effective consulting, and project management skills preferred. Preference for candidates who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are flexible and adaptive as needs changes. Experience with EPIC EMR preferred. Experience in a hospital or physician practice setting (clinical or support staff) and familiarity with current trends in Healthcare IT preferred.
Provides COE knowledge to discussions, projects and initiatives.
Participates on HR project teams. May lead / co-lead projects. Monitors content and timelines; works to ensure deadlines and needs are met using collaborative practices.
Focuses on process improvement and proactively presents solutions.
Develops and maintains working relationships with other departments and external customers / vendors. Promotes effective relationships and outcomes. Maybe primary contact for vendors.
Uses data to determine trends that may result in planning for additional services or other opportunities.
Anticipates client needs and develops collaborative solutions, evaluates outcomes and takes corrective actions, if necessary.
Produces products and services that are tailored to the specific needs of the situation, using expertise to align with overall organizational goals / objectives.
Serves as a culture and change management champion. Gains support of key stakeholders by educating them on issues and practices, and how they align with overall organizational objectives.
Education : Bachelor's degree
Experience : 3 years of general HR related experience required. Completion of a master's degree in a related field with demonstrated relevant experience may substitute for experience requirement.
Other Minimum Qualifications : Must possess excellent customer service and written / verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks / projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities.
