Job Summary
This is a part-time, non-benefited position for the School of Education's (SoE's) pre-service clinical education program that provides teacher candidate supervision, evaluation, and training to further develop the teaching skills of assigned prospective teachers and early childhood educators.Site Supervisors also supervise and assist in training on-site / mentor teachers to support the SoE's "train the trainer" model for mentor teachers to ensure high-quality teacher mentoring in the field.This position reports to the Clinical Professionals.

Responsibilities
Performs supervision of teacher candidates. (70%)
Provides and supports interaction between teacher candidates and their site / mentor teachers, principals, other administrators, and school leaders at early childhood education programs (as applicable), elementary schools, and / or secondary schools.
Provides assessments of teacher candidates performance and data with regard to their attendance.
Performs training and acts as a liaison for the SoE with mentor teachers. (20%)
Serves as the trainer in the SoE's "Train the Trainer" model used to support mentor teachers.
Acts as a liaison between assigned learning communities including site / mentor teachers, principals, other administrators, and the SoE's teacher preparation field experience program, Clinical Professionals, the Chair, and the Dean.
Performs a variety of related duties. (10%)
Attends meetings and training to further the SoE field experience program and serves on ad-hoc committees providing input with regard to program changes, polices, and assessments instruments.
