Job Summary / Description :
WALA is seeking a Digital Content Producer / Reporter who can thrive in a busy newsroom, stay on top of breaking news and find and create compelling content in between breaking stories.
The DCPR will be required to gather, write, report, shoot, edit, copy edit, and publish news stories for all digital platforms including , the FOX News app, social media, and FOX Gulfstream.
The DCPR reports to the digital content manager and works closely with news managers, reporters, anchors, meteorologists, and photojournalists to create and showcase original content and curate quality images, text, and sound for all platforms.
Duties / Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
Newsroom and digital content-producing experience preferred
Knowledge of AP Stylebook
Able to use social media outlets to engage viewers
Must have solid news judgment
Must be able to work well under pressure and with limited supervision
Strong initiative and attention to detail is required
Comfort and clear, accurate, conversational delivery style on digital LIVE platforms
Must be able to copyedit others as well as self-publish error-free copy on deadline
Qualifications / Requirements :
Adobe Photoshop and Premier editing experience a plus
Ability to work with Google Docs, ARC CMS, ENPS, Grass Valley edit or equivalent
College Degree in Journalism or equivalent
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
