Position Summary Sony Honda Mobility of America Inc. (SHMA) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Culver City, CA. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and is eager to help build strong financial foundations for a growing organization.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a hands-on role in supporting and shaping core accounting operations while ensuring accuracy across multiple key areas. We are seeking a candidate with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience and proven depth in at least three of the following : General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Inventory & Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Expense.

This role requires not only technical depth but also the ability to design and build processes from scratch. The ideal candidate has direct experience developing an accounting cycle end-to-end, bringing both structure and discipline to financial operations in a startup-like environment. You'll also play a key role in SHMA's ERP implementation, supporting rollout and ensuring smooth post-go-live operations.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Accounting

• Provide hands-on support across multiple accounting areas including GL, AR, AP, Inventory & Cost, Fixed Assets, and Expense.
• Prepare and post journal entries; perform reconciliations; and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Create and maintain financial schedules, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP / IFRS.
• Collaborate with AP Specialists and Finance team members to ensure accurate, end-to-end accounting operations.
• Support internal and external audit requests with accurate, timely documentation.

Benefits

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $125,000-$150,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will be performing the job.
