Job descriptionSchedule : Monday- Friday 8 : 00am - 5pm 40 hour work week The Accounting Implementation Specialist reports to the Fiscal Supervisor Manages accounting and budget records for federal and state grants, and delivers financial updates to grant managers and leadership. Compiles financial reports for internal management and external regulatory agencies. Prepares financial statements, schedules, and disclosures for auditors and inclusion in the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). Conducts daily banking and investment operations. Supports the fiscal supervisor across various accounting functions including general fund budgeting, capital projects, enterprise funds, grants, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting. Helps maintain the chart of accounts and ensures accuracy between payroll and financial systems through reconciliation. Oversees billing and collections from external agencies. Reviews and processes disbursements, journal entries, and cash transactions. Prepares payroll cost reallocations for grants and operational accounts. Develops revenue and expense forecasts. Audits transactions for compliance with internal procedures and state reporting standards. Advises school and department staff on accounting procedures and system usage. Designs training materials on financial processes for school and department personnel. Assists with federal grant compliance reviews and supports audit investigations and response preparation. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE USING CGI ADVANTAGE ERP Mid to senior level accounting experience required Accounting degree a plus but not required
About the Company and Accounting Implementation Specialist Opportunity :
- CFS is working with a well known repeat client to find an Accounting Implementation Specialist skilled in CGI Advantage software. This position is expected to go through August 2026 and will start ASAP for the selected candidate.
- This is a long term temporary position based in Towson, MD with remote flexibility depending on the needs, location, and skills of the candidate
