We have a Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm opening at our Canton office. The role of a Medical Biller requires three to five years of experience in medical billing with a focus on Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance.

Denial work with OHCA is a plus!

The starting hourly rate for the Medical Biller is between $20-$24 an hour.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Ability to use critical thinking skills in evaluating, analyzing and problem solving issues.
• Organizational skills necessary to achieve promptness in meeting deadlines.
• A thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance payment process.
• Ability to communicate clearly to interact with staff, clients, administration, and the community both in person and on the telephone.

Example of Position Responsibilities :

• Work directly with the Service Code Management Consultant and the Agency Credentialing Specialist to determine the cause of daily denials.
• Work with Clinical Staff members to determine the coding process that resulted in a denial.
• Analyze daily system generated rejection and denial reports to prioritize the days tasks.
• Attend weekly Denial Meetings with team members and update weekly Teams reports.

Other Duties : Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Requirements : Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, walking up steps at housing facilities, lifting 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
