Job descriptionServe as bedside first-assist in robotic surgical cases (GYN, urology, general surgery, bariatrics). Perform port placement and closure of port sites. Provide occasional assistance in non-robotic surgical cases as needed. Handle discharge / depart documentation and outpatient prescriptions when required. Collaborate with surgeons, residents, scrub techs, and circulating nurses in a high-volume OR setting. Board Certification : NCCPA – REQUIRED. Active Michigan Physician Assistant license – REQUIRED (no exceptions). BLS & ACLS (AHA-certified) – REQUIRED. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in robotic bedside first-assist across multiple surgical specialties – REQUIRED. EMR experience with Cerner – Preferred.
