People Partner
The People Partner functions as a human resources business partner, providing input on and support for our people-centered policies, programs, and processes. You will collaborate across the organization, with a specific focus on employee engagement, performance management, leadership effectiveness, and employee relations. The ideal candidate has a solid human resources foundation while also embracing innovation and creative approaches to improving the employee experience. The People Partner reports to the Director, People.
What You'll Do...
Monitor employee development by working with managers to evaluate performance concerns, assist with disciplinary actions, and connect managers with learning and development resources as appropriate.
Support business leaders with policy interpretation, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and mandates.
Own all employee relations cases and performance management issues for assigned client group; assist the GVP and Dir, People with various employee relations, performance deficiency, or other issues.
Act as an active and visible business partner, providing counsel, advice, and recommendations to supervisors and managers on People-related matters.
Assist with compliance program management related to safety and environment, SOX, and federal contracting.
Manage ad hoc role management, promotion, and compensation change processes, ensuring the appropriate HRIS changes are made, communications are generated, and approvals are received.
Track all activity related to Progyny's employer visa and immigration sponsorship program.
Support assigned client group(s) (teams) through various channels, including check-ins, identification of emerging trends, and assistance with performance review, goal setting, and engagement survey processes.
Act as escalation point of contact for the People team for assigned client group(s).
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned in support of the People team.
About You...
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 3 years in a Generalist, HR Business Partner, or People Partner role.
Strong acumen in HR information systems.
Proficiency with MS Office suite.
Knowledge of labor laws in a multi-state compliance environment.
Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
Broad knowledge of basic HR concepts, either through on-the-job experience or college-level coursework.
Experience with Workday HRIS.
Exposure to U.S. federal contractor requirements and the U.S. public corporation SOX environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to effectively manage evolving priorities, multiple projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
