About The Client Integrations Engineering Team : The Client Integrations team acts as a bridge, ensuring that Starburst’s customers can make use of the Trino Query Engine to enable data-driven outcomes. Key responsibilities include creating and supporting client drivers that allow connectivity to Starburst’s Query Engine, and integrating with BI and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and dbt.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers; provide support and guidance that enables the team to self-organize and achieve sustained velocity and predictability.
• Manage and motivate a team focused on various aspects of the Starburst Galaxy and Starburst Enterprise products.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for the Engineering space; perform exploratory testing of integrations; mentor and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Drive technical direction; provide leadership and transparency in an agile environment.
• Partner with other engineering leaders to define best practices and build cutting-edge software.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Analytics to iterate on design and architecture.
• Coach and mentor engineers of all levels; recruit, interview, hire and onboard new engineers.
