Job Description :

Farragut Square Group is a healthcare research and advisory firm serving private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and healthcare corporates. Our reimbursement and regulatory advisory team has knowledgeable professionals who are highly experienced in healthcare policy.

Our analysts have held leadership positions on key U.S. congressional healthcare committees and senior positions at health insurance companies, providers, and advocacy organizations. They have worked on key regulatory issues federal, state, and commercial payer / managed care-oriented and have experience representing the interests of hospitals, post-acute facilities, other healthcare services platforms before federal and state regulators.

We also have extensive experience helping healthcare investors interpret and anticipate complex rulemaking and shifting federal, state, and payer regulatory landscapes. Leveraging their respective backgrounds in capital markets, equity sales and trading, banking, and corporate strategy at major Wall Street firms, they bring a real-world perspective to our research, operations, and M&A advice.

Position Summary :

The primary responsibility is to project manage the diligence processes of the firm by coordinating with business development and the research analysts on all client deliverables. The candidate will work closely with the director of research on staff management, client management, administrative responsibilities including billings and receivables, and initiating and managing new verticals.

As a vice president, business strategy you will :

  • Support the director of research (DOR) with staff management, primarily with the research analysts, including candidate recruiting
  • Copyedit diligence reports ahead of DOR's final review, and eventually take over content / final review before delivery to clients
  • Work with analysts and DOR to draft scopes and communicate timelines for scopes to business development
  • Participate in client calls to discuss scopes and refinements; project midpoint; and readout calls
  • Content / copyedit client follow up writeups prepared by analysts
  • Manage client communications on all hired projects and post-project follow up, working in high coordination with business development (BD) to confirm that analysts have all details and data for projects
  • Coordinate with DOR to initiate and manage new verticals and revenue-generating projects
  • Manage internal firm processes for client intake on behalf of Farragut, working with BD colleagues to capture all relevant information
  • Communicate analyst capacity with BD to help strategize on inbounds and timing for calls and requests
  • Maintain a content calendar for notes based on regulatory, state, and legislative updates and work in tandem with BD to time sector-based notes
  • Work in tandem with analysts and BD to time and structure retainer portfolio reviews
  • Coordinate with DOR on subcontractor relationships / contracts for project overflow work
  • Collaborate with executive assistant on billings and collections, including maintaining databases, and update progress to DOR
  • Job Specifications :

  • Master's degree in business or health policy, or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting and business strategy, with focus on healthcare preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and mix of analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to be empathetic with staff, and diplomatic with clients, and senior executives
  • Positive attitude, demonstrated ability to be a reliable team member, strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Ability to interface with different personalities and ability to read the room
  • Ability to multitask and manage projects
  • Ability to be flexible, with desire to take on additional responsibilities
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Candidates residing in NY are preferred for periodic in-person meetings

    Target hiring range $200,000 - $260,000

    Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the total rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
