Strategic Account Manager Retail Fuel Sales
The Strategic Account Manager Retail Fuel Sales is an outside sales position accountable for the sale of the company's fuel products and services to existing retail gas station clients for their assigned region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for brand maintenance activities. These activities include helping retail station meet brand standards, assist with mystery shop performance, and increase the overall fuel throughput at a location.
 - Increase fuel sales in the assigned accounts and negotiate renewal agreements to assist the client in site improvements and maximize profit for the company
 - Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and challenging the customer by delivering insight into their business
 - Assist Operations team in communication with client location related to orders, delivery dates and inventory levels
 - Understand changes to the retail station marketplace including regulatory and competitive pressures on retail gas station owners.
 - Answer customer questions, troubleshoot problems regarding products provided and address any customer complaints
 - Assist with daily fuel pricing determination and communication
 - Take over customer relationships once senior rep has secured a contract signature for a new client.
 - Monitor refiner promotions and assist with customer rebates processing
 - Other duties as assigned
 
Requirements
Required / Preferred Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related area and 5+ years of experience in sales operations in a related industryExperience with managing key customer and vendor relationships and following through on new sales opportunitiesStrong customer focus and ability to balance multiple customer needsExcellent listening, negotiation and presentation skillsHigh level of written and oral communication skillsInsight Driven Sales Skills40% of this position is outside the office and will include local travelWorking Environment and Physical Demands
This position operates in a fast-paced, professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While performing duties of this job, you will be regularly required to talk, read, hear, sit, stand, bend as necessary, and use your hands to type.
