Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accountant will serve as the day-to-day finance lead for a diverse portfolio of operating and development entities. You will own the full monthly close, maintain entity-level and consolidated ledgers in Yardi Voyager, and deliver accurate financials on tight deadlines. Beyond core accounting, you will partner with development, asset-management, and property-operations teams to track project costs, prepare lender draw packages, reconcile intercompany transactions, and produce data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions. Success in this role means clean books, smooth audits, and continuous process improvements that scale with our growing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records across various entities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support the Controller in preparing reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide assistance with accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Contribute to process improvements and implement best practices for accounting operations.
