Insurance Sales Specialist
Responsible for generating Property & Casualty sales through continuous and consistent prospecting and lead generation through branch networking and partnerships, developing and maintaining external networking relationships with realtors, mortgage brokers, title agencies, apartment complexes and builders, leads generated from marketing efforts of the Agency, cross selling and CRM leads list.
Conducts cold calling to generate new leads and establish potential relationships to assess customer needs and identify products / services from a broad range of Insurance Carrier partners.
Ensures sales and offerings comply with carrier, sales center, and state regulatory requirements and finalizes the sale of these products / services to grow the profitability of The Insurance Agency.
- Monthly & Quarterly Bonuses - $2500 - $5000*
- Role is Fully On-Site while training and then it is a hybrid environment
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate new sales, retain existing Members, and grow VIA's overall book of business through our multiple product offerings.
- Sells and cross-sells Personal and Commercial insurance via telephone, internet, and email with a focus on rounding out existing accounts and ensures all solutions and quotes follow VIA’s established guidelines.
- Build rapport critical to establishing customer satisfaction, loyalty, and affinity to the brand.
- Exercises responsive and timely follow-up to Member inquiries with the goal of obtaining, finalizing and / or retaining the business with VIA.
- Recommends solutions and provides product options and quotes to meet Member needs, including increased coverage and cross sales / account rounding.
- Formulates strategies to increase product awareness of VIA products and services.
- Actively solicit new business outside of the office, at business establishments and other locations to create and expand business networks.
- Establish consistent pipeline for new business as well and offers solutions and product options based on the Member’s needs.

Computer Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel), internet, and other related computer applications.
- Proficient in Agency Management and LMS systems.
Education & Experience
- Currently hold active State Property & Casualty licenses.
- Specifically, 220 General Lines License or a 2044 Personal lines license.
- Personal lines experience required.
- Commercial experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of insurance-related experience required.
