Medication Technician
All responsibilities are to be performed within scope of practice per State / Provincial regulations.
Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with community management or other
employees as necessary).
- Assist residents to self-administer specific oral medications.
- Adhere to all medication room systems per policy.
- Document pertinent information in Progress Notes.
- Communicate with Resident Care Managers / Charge Nurse per policy.
- Assist in development and revision of service plans by informing Resident Care Managers / Charge Nurse of current resident
needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches.
- Read Communication Log at beginning of each shift.
- Read inter-shift report at beginning of each shift.
