DEPT MANAGER DLVY PROCESS

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED : Coordinate staffing ensuring the best candidates are hired and retained and adequate staff levels are maintained.

• Oversee training and coaching of employees, both new hire and on-going. Monitor schedules for employees; evaluate employees and make recommendations for pay raises based on performance, attendance and efficiency;
• ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service; audit delivery company billing; confirm pre-calls and time-frame calls daily;
• ensure driver and customer call ques are assigned appropriately; develop training tools needed for internal customers;
• help solve issues that affect the service, efficiency, and productivity of the front end; train, coach, and manage all employees;

ensure safety and productivity of employees; enforce all company policies and procedures; perform evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed.

Perform any other duties as directed by management.

• EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS : Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; ability to communicate effectively with team members;
• must have the ability to work in small groups with a goal oriented attitude; knowledge of Storis preferred; willing to work fluctuating shifts with weekends included;

1-3 years of management experience preferred; college degree preferred; positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment, merchandise handling and safety procedures.

Need to be able to work in a fast pace environment and have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must exhibit Leadership qualities, shows skills in overcoming objections and be able to execute corrective action.

Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years;

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS : To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following : Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing / listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work : Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, 40 lbs rarely.

Work Environment : Indoor climate controlled environment.
