Responsibilities and Expectations
The Associate Account Strategist supports the delivery of marketing programs for clients in an agency setting, across multiple B2B industries including healthcare, professional services, and technology.
The Associate Account Strategist plays an important role in delivering client programs and supporting senior team members on large, complex accounts. This role requires baseline skills in paid digital platforms and a strong foundation in marketing strategy, combined with the ability to provide both strategic and administrative support. Associates are expected to contribute meaningfully to account delivery, while continuing to grow their expertise and independence in client management.
Reports to : Associate Account Director
In-office requirements : Sporadically each month
What you’ll do :
Strategic & Account Support
- Support senior strategists on large, key accounts—contributing research, insights, and recommendations from a strategic lens
- Participate in client meetings with professionalism, learning to engage with executives and stakeholders
- Assist in building marketing plans that span digital and traditional strategies, campaign themes, and KPIs
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of paid digital tools (Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta) and assist with execution and basic optimizations
Administrative & Process Support
Manage tasks, meeting agendas, notes, and follow-ups to keep accounts organized and on trackProofread deliverables and ensure quality control before client deliveryContribute to onboarding new clients by gathering background research and learning about their business, products, and marketsSupport the timely development of deliverables, ensuring tasks stay within scope, on time, and quality-drivenCollaboration & Growth
Work closely with content, website, digital, and design teams to ensure integrated client deliveryMonitor account activity and flag trends, supporting actionable recommendations for improvementActively pursue certifications (Google Analytics, Google Search Fundamentals, HubSpot Inbound and Inbound Marketing)Model Sagefrog core values : Teamwork, Can-Do Attitude, Dependability, and Commitment to ExcellenceAbout you
1-3 years of marketing experience : agency and / or B2B experience a plusEager to learn and grow into full account ownership while building strong marketing and client management skillsOrganized and process-oriented, with strong task management and attention to detailClear, concise communicator who contributes to positive client and team interactionsActively listens, picking up on opportunities, red flags, and cues from both clients and colleaguesFamiliar with or motivated to learn MarTech tools (HubSpot, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.)Professional and solution-oriented under pressure, open to feedback, and motivated to take initiativeThe Benefits You’ll Enjoy :
