Job descriptionControl access to the facility by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points in accordance with site-specific policies. Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by addressing questions and assisting with directions as needed. Carry out security-related procedures and respond to incidents and / or emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms to help to identify and report unusual activity. Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and / or observations as required by site protocols. Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site personnel to communicate concerns, relay information, and support ongoing security-related initiatives. Previous experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with alarm panels is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing
As a Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, assisting visitors, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Your presence and exceptional customer service will create a welcoming environment while supporting overall operations. You will utilize technology such as computers or tablets and may respond to alarm panels as needed.
