As a Principal Project Manager at Capital One, you can achieve results you never thought possible by leading critical and strategic business projects. In this exciting role you will work closely with key stakeholders to help lead process innovation, execution, and monitoring to deliver results that will have direct impact on the bottom line of the company. You serve as the leader and subject matter expert on delivery execution while collaborating with smart and passionate stakeholders to influence results and who will challenge you to excel. General Responsibilities :
- Review end-to-end processes from the Card platform(s) and work with compliance and auditors to ensure our processes, controls and monitoring are adequate
- Oversight of process controls to ensure that they are effective; seek opportunities to improve or automate control
- Leading the containment and resolution of complaints and risk events that have been identified as a result of platform or process failure
- Developing and maintaining formal process documentation including procedures and process flow diagrams from the platforms and all their components
- Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes while taking advantage of emerging technology capabilities
- Designing, implementing and maintaining key metrics used to measure process health
- Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation
- Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
- Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
- Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
- Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
- Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
- Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
- Showing a willingness to learn and an intellectual curiosity to better understand Capital One's business processes to identify areas for improvement

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA : $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Project Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
