Title : KUKA Robotics Programmer
Location : Decatur, IL
Duration : 3 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and optimize KUKA / Fanuc robot applications for automated systems.
- Troubleshoot robotic, PLC, and integration issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Conduct system integration, testing, and commissioning of robotic cells.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to implement automation projects.
- Maintain and update robot programs, software, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and company guidelines.
- Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance teams as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in KUKA and / or Fanuc robot programming.Strong knowledge of robot motion, path programming, and safety protocols.Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and familiarity with common programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, or Java).Solid understanding of industrial automation and system integration.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with PLC integration (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).Knowledge of vision systems and sensors in robotic applications.Familiarity with simulation tools (RoboDK, Process Simulate, KUKA Sim, Fanuc ROBOGUIDE).Previous experience in automotive or manufacturing automation projects.
