We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Bus Driver and Floater Teacher. Your main responsibility will be to safely transport students to and from school while adhering to safety regulations.
As a Floater Teacher, you'll also provide support in our classrooms when needed. No prior bus driving experience is required.
Bus Driver Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following established routes.
- Ensure students' safety during transport.
- Maintain the bus in clean and proper working condition.
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and school staff.
- Adhere to traffic and safety regulations.
- Conduct maintenance and safety checks on the bus.
- Keep records of mileage, fuel consumption, and student ridership.
- Report and address behavioral or safety issues with students.
- Be ready to act in emergencies or unexpected situations.
Floater Teacher Responsibilities
- Assist in classrooms when required, providing support to teachers.
- Follow the school's educational plan and interact with students.
- Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff.
- Supervise students during activities and breaks.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom.
- Loves talking to people and is trusted by others
- Willing to do whatever it takes (change diapers, clean floors, wash dishes, etc)
- Believes in having fun
- Is always learning, growing, and being stretched
- WORKS hard and PLAYS harder!
Requirements
- No prior bus driving experience necessary.
- Familiarity with safe driving practices and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Energetic, trustworthy, and dedicated.
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
- CPR certification is a plus.
- Enjoy working with children and creating a safe environment.
- Willingness to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities.
- Diligent, adaptable, and focused on a positive atmosphere.
