Alyssa Kristin is looking for a Bridal Designer (Bridal / Luxury Evening Wear) to join our development team and work closely with our Lead Designer and Creative Director. This individual will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing fresh, refined concepts to life for both our main collection, luxury line and custom gowns. This role can be based in Chicago or New York , and we’re open to full-time, part-time, or freelance arrangements depending on experience and availability.
Responsibilities include :
- Design and develop pieces for the main collections and custom clients that reflect the brand’s creative vision and craftsmanship standards
- Create original sketches, technical flats, patterns, prototypes, and final samples
- Partner with the Creative Director and Lead Designer on research, design exploration, and sample development through draping, patternmaking, and textile experimentation
- Collaborate with the team on fabric sourcing and custom material development, liaising directly with fabric and embroidery mills as needed
- Review and prepare fit samples by comparing them against patterns, tech packs, and previous notes to ensure accurate corrections
- Participate in fittings, ensuring each design’s fit, construction, and detailing are realized as intended throughout the development and production process
- Develop precise and comprehensive tech packs to maintain consistency with specifications and production requirements
- Maintain updated tech packs, including BOMs, construction notes, and any additional development details
- Oversee the transition from post-development to pre-production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are executed seamlessly, on time, and within budget
- Uphold exceptional attention to detail and quality at every stage - from first concept through final sample

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or Certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, Patternmaking, or equivalentStrong corsetry and / or draping skills - experience creating structured interiors, molded bodices, or sculptural silhouettes is a major plusStrong technical skills in patternmaking, draping, garment construction, and gradingAbility to sketch and effectively illustrate design ideasOptitex / Gerber / CAD experience a plusPhotoshop or Procreate proficiency a plusExcellent organizational and time management skillsAlyssa Kristin is a modern bridal house rooted in elevated minimalism, intentional design, and sculptural simplicity.
