Senior ServiceNow Developer

You will have the primary responsibility for supporting the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Service Mapping within our ServiceNow platform. This role is critical to improving visibility into our IT infrastructure and enabling accurate service impact analysis, CMDB health, and operational efficiency.

Required Years of Experience :

10+ years, 3+ years ServiceNow CMDB, 1+ year Service Mapping

Desired Skills :

• Lead Service Mapping initiatives using ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping modules.
• Architect and maintain accurate service maps for critical business applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to define service boundaries and dependencies.
• Configure and deploy MID Servers across diverse environments (on-prem, cloud).
• Develop and optimize Discovery Patterns, leveraging scripting and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot service mapping errors, validate MID Server connectivity, and ensure data integrity in the CMDB.
• Utilize traffic-based discovery techniques including ML connection suggestions and cloud-native tagging.
• Maintain and enforce Service Mapping roles and permissions (e.g., sm_admin, sm_user, sm_app_owner).
• Document service mapping standards, processes, and training materials.

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $130.00 / hr.
