Description :

This position is for a Med / Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse.

The unit manages a variety of patient diagnoses, including COPD exacerbation, CHF exacerbation, pneumonia, sepsis, encephalopathy, atrial fibrillation, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute kidney injury.

Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.

Daily census is approximately 40 patients.

The nurse will provide care to a patient ratio of 1 : 7-8, employing a team nursing model if ratios exceed 8.

Floating to other areas within the hospital may be required, as well as to nearby facilities, within the scope of their skills.

This role includes responsibilities such as blood product administration, central line blood draw, feeding tube care and management, heparin and insulin administration, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias, as well as telemetry monitoring.

The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

All candidates must ensure that their certifications and licensure do not expire within 45 days of the start date.

Experience with Cerner is preferred but not required.

Travel experience is required for all specialties.
