About The Position

Certifications : BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date.

Must have 2 years of current experience in a Med / Surg setting.

Description :

This position requires a registered nurse specializing in the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry float pool.

The nurse will float to various Med / Surg units, telemetry, and senior psych as needed.

The nurse is expected to manage a patient ratio of 1 : 8, with potential for a team nursing model.

Weekend coverage is required, with a rotation of every other weekend or two weekends per month.

Travelers requesting time off during major holidays will not be accommodated.

Patients will typically present with general med / surg diagnoses across all systems.

The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Candidates must possess skills in blood product administration, dysrhythmia management, and IV therapy.

Telemetry experience is essential, as centralized telemetry monitoring will be utilized.

The candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse care team to provide high-quality patient care.
