1st Shift : 7am-3pm
2nd Shift : 3pm-11pm
3rd Shift : 11pm-7am
A Step in the Right Direction is seeking individuals who have a passion for serving children / adolescents and want to assist them with achieving their goals, overcoming obstacles, and prepare them for the skills they will need in the future.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredCoursework / Background in the following areas : Trauma-informed Care, Crisis Intervention, Positive Behavior SupportAdditional Requirements Must have a valid NC driver's license with a good driving recordMust be able to demonstrate effective self-regulation strategiesMust be coachable and willing to learnAll potential job candidates must pass a background checkResponsibilities :
Communicate relevant consumer information to supervisors, Case Coordinator, and / or parents / guardiansProvide privacy and confidentiality of all consumer recordsAssure consumers are free from abuse, mistreatment, and or neglect and report any incidents of such to supervisorTreat each consumer with dignity and respect.Complete all documentation related to Treatment PlansDevelop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of philosophy and purposeDevelop familiarity with the Treatment Plan of each consumer servedImplement goals and recommendations and follow appropriate documentation proceduresProvide a positive atmosphere which facilitates growth and learningMake decisions based on training and policies when unsupervisedPerform duties as requested by SupervisorExecute all shift documentationTransport consumer to all scheduled and unscheduled appointmentsOrganize and plan innovative activities that teach skills for increased independence in the home and the communityWill be responsible for attending staff and training meeting during time off, schedule and transport clients to all appointments, courts hearing, weekend visit resources as well as be responsible for them if one is suspended from school or becomes ill or has nowhere to go for the weekend visits.Provide privacy and confidentiality of all consumer records; will maintain an accurate record-keeping system regarding each client's file, medication / treatment charts, daily and weekly notes, and other administrative duties.Will keep an inventory of equipment, tools an the household and take care of all things provided as well as report any damages of concerns immediately to the Executive Director or Administrative Manager.
