Summary
The Events Support Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by assisting with event setup, breakdown, and general support throughout. This position is responsible for handling events furniture setups / breakdowns, tracking inventory, performing light audiovisual (A / V) work, and ensuring that event spaces are prepared to meet client and organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up tables, chairs, stages, signage, and other event furniture as specified in event layouts.
- Review, update, and assign help desk tickets related to event support functions such as building temperature controls, trash pickups, booking / scheduling conference rooms, etc.
- Assist with breakdown and clean-up after events, ensuring spaces are returned to standard configurations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of event furniture, décor, and supplies.
- Track condition of furniture and event assets, reporting damage or loss to management.
- Assist with basic audio-visual setup such as connecting microphones, speakers, projectors, and screens.
- Troubleshoot minor A / V issues during events and escalate complex technical problems when necessary.
- Be available during events to provide logistical assistance, move furniture, restock supplies, and handle last-minute setup needs.
- Work collaboratively with event planners, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Assist in maintaining event storage areas, keeping spaces organized and equipment properly stored.
- Perform light cleaning or maintenance tasks related to event spaces as needed.
Qualifications
Required : High School diploma or GEDPreferred : Excellent customer service and problem-solving skillsPreferred : Prior experience in event setup, facilities, hospitality, or a similar rolePreferred : Basic understanding of AV equipment (microphones, projectors, speakers) — training can be providedPreferred : Strong organizational skills with attention to detailPreferred : Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)Preferred : Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organizationPreferred : Written and oral communication skillsPhysical requirements
