A Florida general contractor with multiple offices is looking for a well-rounded Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from planning to implementation, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with construction workers and subcontractors. This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment where you can make a significant impact on project success.

Salary

Base pay range : $110,000.00 / yr - $140,000.00 / yr

We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead our engineering team. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from conception to completion, managing timelines and costs, and ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct commercial construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Meet contractual performance conditions.
  • Review progress on a daily basis.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and proper techniques.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and applicable rules, regulations and quality standards.
  • Conflict and crisis management skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Experience with project management software like Primavera.
  • Proven experience managing commercial projects.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
  • Proficient in English.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
