Emergency Medical Paramedic

Position Summary :

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate each emergency call to determine the most effective course of action by applying advanced Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic expertise with medical equipment, including defibrillators and EKG monitors, to deliver top-notch medical care.
• Communicate clearly with patients and their families to provide reassurance and detailed information regarding the care being administered.
• Lead the Paramedic team in managing the scene and the unit as required.
• Drive the ambulance during 911 calls with safety and professionalism.
• Collaborate effectively with health professionals and public safety personnel, as well as with fellow Paramedics, in a professional manner.

Minimum Required Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

California Drivers' License

Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV)

Medical Examiner's Card

State of California Paramedic License

Current CPR Card (AHA ONLY, Health Care Provider; handwritten cards are not acceptable)

Current ACLS Card (AHA ONLY; handwritten cards are not acceptable)

Current PALS Card (AHA ONLY; handwritten cards are not acceptable) or PEPP

Driving record compliant with safety policies (proof required if conditional employment is made).

In addition to the above, completion of the following ICS courses is required :

Salary Range : $22.39 - $24.98 depending on experience. This rate applies to both 12 and 24 hour shifts.
