Buffalo Lodging offers an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated and ambitious individual that is looking to train, grow and gain valuable hospitality management industry experience.

Through practical work experience and hands-on training, this individual will gain exposure in overall hotel operations, develop their leadership skills in a short amount of time.

This is an opportunity for current college students to get a jump start on their hospitality career with our award-winning organization.

While building an extensive portfolio of 50 hotels, we’ve partnered with the most respected hotel brands in the business including Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Choice Hotel International hotels.

Students will be trained in one of our 50 hotels in 7 states- NY, MA, OH, FL, NJ, RI, CT

What to Expect :

  • Comprehensive training in functions and operations of hotel departments including; Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Engineering.
  • Learning line and staff functions, operations, management view points and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business.
  • Participants will develop problem solving and decision-making abilities through direct observation, analysis and evaluations of various situations.
  • Each training level is designed to equip the participant with practical experience and leadership skills necessary to eventually manage a department and / or a property.

Requirements :

This is an entry level position. The ideal Intern candidate will bring the following required, desired and optional assets to the company :

  • Working on an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (B.A) in Hospitality Management or equivalent preferred; or one to two years related management or comparable experience strongly preferred.
  • Desire to be on a career path to a Hospitality Leadership role.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service is necessary.
  • Computer knowledge including Word, Excel and Property Management System’s (POS) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel between our hotels. Lodging at the property can be arranged.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.
