The Details :

Work arrangements are flexible and may include in-office, onsite, or remote options. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a background in interior design or construction who is looking to contribute to the successful planning and execution of remodeling projects.

The standard work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM . Regular daytime availability is essential to ensure seamless coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

YOUR CORE CONTRIBUTIONS :

As a Designer - Purchasing Coordinator, you will support the pre-construction phase of residential remodeling projects by guiding clients through material and finish selections, preparing detailed design visuals, and managing product procurement from start to finish. Your day will include creating floor plans and renderings using design software, as well as organizing mood boards and finish schedules for client approval. You will input and track all selections in project management software like Buildertrend. Once selections are approved, you will generate and manage purchase orders for cabinets, tile, plumbing fixtures, and lighting. You will coordinate delivery schedules, track inventory, and resolve any issues related to material availability or delays. In addition, you will maintain communication with vendors and suppliers to confirm pricing and timelines. You will collaborate regularly with project managers and field teams, attend pre-construction meetings, and assist with change orders when design adjustments occur.

MUST-HAVES FOR A DESIGNER - PURCHASING COORDINATOR :

• 2+ years of experience in residential remodeling, interior design, or a similar field
• Proficiency in one or more of the following : SketchUp, Chief Architect, or 2020 Design
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and ability to align with client design styles (modern farmhouse, transitional, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive
• Familiarity with kitchen and bath remodel materials (tile, cabinets, plumbing fixtures, etc.)
