Job Title : Application Developer

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and talented Application Developer to join our dynamic IT team. As an Application Developer with a focus on back office, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing software solutions that meet business needs.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IBM i / ISA Power System, RPGLE, SQL RPGLE, SQL, CL, CLLE, and DB2, with a minimum of 5 years of programming experience.

Responsibilities :

Software Development :

• Develop, code, test, and implement software applications on IBM i / ISA Power System.
• Utilize RPGLE, SQL RPGLE, SQL, CL, and CLLE to create efficient and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Database Management :

• Work with DB2 databases to design, implement, and optimize database structures.
• Perform database maintenance tasks, including data migration, backup, and recovery.

Integration and Support :

• Integrate applications with other systems and technologies to ensure seamless functionality.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing applications.

Documentation :

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed applications.
• Ensure that code is well-documented and follows best practices.

Technological Awareness :

• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in application development.
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing processes and technologies.

Skills or Technical Knowledge :

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in a related computer field from a recognized 4 year university or relative equivalent experience required.

Experience :

• Minimum of 5+ years of programming experience with a focus on IBM i / ISA Power System.
• Proven expertise in RPGLE, SQL RPGLE, SQL, CL, CLLE, relational database design and development (IBM DB2).
• Expert level experience with application design, RPGLE, SQL RPGLE, SQL, CLP, CLLE, relational database design and development (IBM DB2).
• General Knowledge of XML, C, and JavaScript.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Object oriented programming as well as experience development / customization in Accounting / Financial and HR / Payroll applications (Oracle EnterpriseOne ERP preferred).
• Familiarity with GoAnywhere MFT is a plus.
• Candidate must be self-sufficient and have good English oral and written communications skills.
