At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Data Center Engineer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Data Center Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Arnold, MO or St. Louis, MO.

HOW A DATA CENTER ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

•Develops computer systems specifications that fit with the government's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.

•Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

•Responsible for installation and maintenance of storage, networking, and server hardware.

•Ensures availability of development systems to end users through continuous system monitoring and issue remediation.

•Applies required security updates and implementations mandated by DoD cyber security regulations.

•Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 5+ years of related experience

Location: On Customer Site
