Job Title : RN - PCU - Multi Trauma

Must-Have :

Ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, suction.

Description :

TRAVEL - RN - PCU - Multi Trauma.

Step-down unit with a capacity of 20 beds.

The unit is staffed with a total of 40 personnel.

Each shift includes 1 charge nurse and multiple nurses and techs.

Patient ratios are estimated at 1 : 4, with charge nurses free of patients.

Typical equipment utilized includes vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes.

The Electronic Medical Record system in use is Meditech.

Preferred candidates will have experience with bedside bronch procedures.

This unit deals with a highly acute patient population, making it ideal for those who enjoy challenges.

Teamwork is emphasized, and support is readily available from both nurses and charge nurses.

Tech support is strong during both day and night shifts.

Physicians are described as wonderful and cooperative.
